About Me:

Background

I lived in Lewiston, ID for 11 years until we moved to Spokane Valley, WA due to a job opportunity for my father. I have been in the Valley ever since.

In high school, I was extremely involved in sports, leadership, and fine arts. I made varsity all 4 years in volleyball and track and field, going to State in both sports.  I was the ASB President my senior year and the Spokane Scholar Representative for my school in Fine Arts, which also highlighted my musical talents.  I made All-State Symphonic and Treble Choirs for three consecutive years and competed in the State Solo and Ensemble competition those same years.

Family Time

My family is the most important thing to me in every way. They have supported me through so much and I learn so much from them. My dad, KC, and my mom, Susan, have been married for 21 years, and I have 3 younger siblings. Nathan (16 years old) is training with me this summer and trying to one-up all of my marks from high school (typical little brother!). Courtney (6 years old) is the budding artist that I featured above. She's full of energy and a mirror image of what I was like at her age. Jacob (5 years old) was born with Down syndrome and had a heart defect that required open heart surgery at the age of 3 months. He recovered fully, and boy is he high-energy! Even though he's probably the most stubborn kid I've ever met, he's also definitely the most lovable. He's the glue that holds us all together. :)

Beyond Art

I was recruited for track and field at Eastern Washington University, and I attended the university for my freshman year of college. I red-shirted both my indoor and outdoor seasons, though, because I stumbled across a heart condition after having a mini-stroke during Christmas break.  I was put through practically every test imaginable, and eventually I had heart surgery in April of 2015. I did not produce the distances I had hoped for that year because my time was devoted to doctors appointments and recovery instead of training and improving in my sport.

Now,  I am transferring to Spokane Falls Community College to train with one of the best javelin/hammer/strength coaches on this side of the country, get back into shape,  and to see how far I can go, now that I'm all healed up!

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and playing volleyball if my track coaches allow it. We go camping in the summers and I just love any time spend outdoors. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I love every minute I spend there. I also enjoy reading, but I haven't found hardly any time lately to start a book! Never too late to dive in though!

My Art

My preferred medium is acrylics. - specifically murals.  I've painted murals in homes, schools and businesses. I do anything from graffitti art, to silouettes, wording, landscapes, abstracts, underwater scenes, and everything in between.

I've also designed T-shirts, dabble in photography, graphite, custom hats, glass art, and trying my hand at adding an artistic touch to just about any surface abailable.  If you're looking for something specific, but don't see it on this site, give me a call. I can do corporate murals, one-off projects, or design something to be used in mass-market production.

I'm highly versitile and have a natural creative eye and an ability to be flexible with the resources I have.
